Marek Gierchak - soloist
He was born on the 20th of March, 1983 in the village of Strilkovichy (near Sambir, Lviv region). He graduated Sambir Musical School (clarinet and accordion class). At the age of thirteen he became an organist in the church of Strilkovichy. From 2004 to 2007 he was working as an organist in a parish of Leszno, that is near Przemyśl (Poland). He was also a leader of two vocal ensembles of the church, and a leader of an ensemble „Promyk”. In 1999 he founded Polish vocal ensemble ‘Życzenie’ in his native Strilkovichy.
Taking active part in creative activity Marek enters Drohobych University, the faculty of Musical Pedagogics. And then becomes a student of Lviv Musical Academy, his major was Vocal Actor specialization. This is the most fruitful period in the young singer’s life. In 2005 he becomes a laureate of the 3rd price in the International Vocal Contest ‘Art of the XXI century’ (Kiev – Vorzel). The same year he wins the first place in The Competition of Isidor Vymer (Lviv). In 2007 he is a finalist of the competition of young vocalists of Galina Halsky-Fialkowsky in Vrotslav (Poland) – he becomes the second laureate. He also gets a special price for the best performance of a love song by Stanislav Monushko in the contest “Evening song” in Białystok (Poland).
He took part in International Contest of S. Monushko which took place in Warsaw National Opera; in Vocal Contest of Adam Didur (Poland); and International Vocal Contest of Ada Sari (Poland).
Since 2003 Marek is a head of a Cultural and Educational Centre of Poles in Strilkovichy, a deputy of Strilkovichy village council, a member of Presidium of Polish organizations in Ukraine.
He is an author of two books ‘History of the village of Strilkovichy’ and ‘Masses and religion songs of Strilkovichy parish’
Sofia – Bozhena Sokolovska – compère
She was born in Lviv, and lives there. She finished Polish school No 10. Takes acive part in a creative activity developing Polish culture in the city of Lviv. Moreover she played comic roles in Polish Popular Theatre, was one of the founders of the choir ‘Echo’, she continues to work in Polish Radio ‘Lviv’.
It is worth mentioning that Bozhena is a great poetess. Poems the anthology ‘My, ludzie Lwowa’ (‘we are Lvivites’) consists of reflected all the depth of her talent. Pani Bozhena is an author of a poetical anthology ‘Wciąż czekam’(‘I’m still waiting’). She was awarded with an order ‘Honoured for Polish Culture’). In her daily routine she is active, lively, cheerful and a soul of any company.
Roman Dolnyy - accordion player

Being a child a boy showed remarkable musical ability. He performed a lot. First of all in the kindergarten then at school. It was almost impossible to imagine any concert without Roman taking part in it. In 2000 he finished a musical school (accordion class). Somehow he managed to finish the 9th form of a secondary school and then went to a picturesque town of Drohobych to give people fun and entertain them playing bayan (kind of accordion). Having got a lot of knowledge in Drohobych Musical College, Roman understood that he couldn’t live without music.
In 2005 he moves to Lviv. There he enters Musical Academy and the whole world seems to break into applause. Famous professors couldn’t help being amused listening to wonderful sounds, that gathered crowds. Having gone through the course of lections Roman understood that the main thing in the world is family.
He plucked his courage and got married. He became a father. Nowadays he is a professional husband and father. Sometimes he makes for a living working up in a school or in a university. He never forgets why he was born!
Yuriy Nazaruk - clarinetist
He was born in 1984 in Lviv. He finished specialized musical school named after S. Krushelnitska, Musical College named after S. Ludkevich and Lviv Musical Academy named after M. Lysenko. Yurko is a very professional musician and a really nice clarinetist. Due to his hard work he became a Laureate of International Contest of Playing Wind Instruments name after D. Bida (Lviv). His military service was in a famous Military orchestra Of Western Region of Ukrainian armed forces. Being in the orchestra he gave concerts in Ukraine, Netherlands, Byelorussia, Poland and Italy.
He teaches at school in clarinet and saxophone classes. There were lots of laureates of different contests among his students. It is worth mentioning that Yuriy is a young composer.
He made his first collection of notes ‘The first note’ for clarinets-beginners. His dream is to learn to play all the wind instruments and travel around the world giving concerts to rejoice people and give them nice impressions.
Vitaly Balaban - bass guitarist
Was born on the first of November, 1980 in the village of Orihovets (near Pidvolotchysk, Ternopil region). At the age of seven he went to the school of Koshlyaky, than continued his studies at the musical school, where his major was bandura. At that time Vitaly took part in a bandurist ensemble. The list of his musical activity should be completed with following points:
- Played bayan in the bayanist ensemble;
- Played tuba in orchestra;
- Sang in a choir;
- Performed solo.
In 1996 Vitaly entered the Musical College in Ternopil, where he remarkably improved his playing on bandura. At this time he also sang in the college choir, played contrabass in the college orchestra and in the ensemble of folk instruments. His musical interests expanded and he learned to play bass guitar by himself.
After finishing his studies he worked as a bandura teacher in a musical school. His military service was in Lviv, in the internal armed forces of Ukraine. During his military service his musical activity was by no means neglected: he played trumpet in the military orchestra and bass guitar in an ensemble.
Afterwards he spent some time in Zaporizhya and distinguished himself as a co-founder of the men’s ensemble “Horytsvit”.
After coming to Lviv he began his studies at the Ukrainian Catholic University and got the diploma as master of philosophy and theology.
Except of his musical activity in the ensemble „Sześć złotych” he is a singer in the municipal choir “Homin” as well as in the choir of Saint George's Cathedral in Lviv. Moreover, Vitaly is a member of vocal and choreographic ensemble “Cheremosh”.
